Deepwater Horizon Incident, Gulf of Mexico Updated daily NOAA is currently on-scene in the Gulf of Mexico, supporting the response to a leaking oil well after an explosion and fire occurred on a deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform. (updated: May 27, 2010)
