A. Not really, the promos can't be better than the content and as the film did not have strong content there was not much to show in promos.

A. It is the multiplex phenomenon as many multiplexes across the country are exempt Entertainment Tax. The viewer base has actually decreased. A Gadar in 2001 had 4 crore people watching it in the theatre while a Three Idiots had around 2.50 crore in 2009. Its impossible to put a number on the business of Sholay today as its business was over 25 years. What can be said is that Sholay is the biggest hit of all time while Hum Aapke Hain Kaun or Gadar are the biggest hits of the modern era. (1994-till date)
