SANTA MONICA, CA, August 21, 2007 -- Brad
Winters has been promoted to general manager, Gametrailers.com and vice
president, MTVN Entertainment Group. The promotion was announced by
Jon Slusser, senior vice president, Spike Digital
and Video Games, to whom Winters will
report. Winters is relocating from San Francisco
and will be based in Santa Monica,
CA. Previously, Winters
was director of business development, GameTrailers.
In his new role, Winters will oversee the day-to-day operations of
GameTrailers.com as well as the management of the Web site's role within MTVN's broadcast and digital programming initiatives
around video games. In addition, Winters will oversee business
development for the newly formed Spike Digital Entertainment Group.
"Brad has been with GameTrailers since the
beginning, contributing instrumentally to its growth and success,"
said Slusser. "His expertise in
business development and operations combined with his leadership
capabilities and passion for the site will take GameTrailers
to the next level."
Winters was part of the original management team brought in by Slusser and partners directly after GameTrailers
(GT) launched in 2003 as a broadband video site dedicated to video game
entertainment and information. As director of business development,
he managed all business development and content licensing for GT, joining
MTV Networks upon its acquisition of GT in 2005. Prior to GT, Winters
managed the affiliate network and business development at GameDaily, an on-line publication dedicated to video
game coverage.
Winters is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
