Ebon Atoll, located 155 km southwest from Jaluit Atoll, lies at the extreme southern end of the Ralik Chain, making it the southernmost landmass of the Marshall Islands; its nearest neighbour is the small atoll of Namorik, 117 km to the northwest.
The circular-shaped atoll consists of a deep central lagoon covering 104 km², that is surrounded by 22 islets on the east, south and west sides. They have a combined land area of 5.75 km². There is one winding passage (Ebon Channel) in to the lagoon, located on the southwest side (top).
