Today's University Park forecast
sunLess humidity and slighty cooler temperatures are in store for the end of the summer semester in Happy Valley as high pressure slides in behind the cold front that brought us heavy rains yesterday. Pleasant conditions will last through the weekend but the threat of showers returns for the start of next week.

Highlight


Northeastern Brazil has been inudated with five consecutive days of torrential rains causing mudslides and flooding. Military forces are in place as a state of emergency is in place for the states of Pernambuco and Alagoas. Thousands have been forced to flee their homes while forty-five lives have been claimed. After a brief respite, rain is again in the forecast.
