Keyspan Digital Media Remote Control
CNET Review
By Jesse Berney (03/08/01) As more and more people connect their PCs to their stereos, the computer is becoming an integral part of the home theatre. There's nothing's quite like opening your favorite digital audio player, putting your entire list of MP3s on shuffle play, and listening to whatever comes up. But when you're trying to relax, it can be a pain to adjust the volume, skip tracks, and pause if you have to go to your computer to do it. Keyspan has solved this problem with its Digial Media Remote, a small, USB remote control that lets you command any digital media application (or any other program, for that matter) on your computer from up to 35 feet away. CNET User Opinions
This is a good product. If you get it make sure you go the the mfgr's website and download the 2.0 version of the software. It's better and it showed me that the helper app for my mouse was always in the ""foreground"" taking the remote control inputs. The range of the remote is great. You don't even need line of sight. I like to point directly at my monitor like it is a TV. Yes the cable is too short, but it is just enough for me. It does everything I need it to do. It works for WinAmp, my DVD player, my CD player, IE and Explorer.
