ABOUT US

EXN.ca is the website for the Discovery Channel Canada and is located in Toronto, Canada. What is today called EXN (short for Exploration Network) started on December 31, 1994, as www.discovery.ca, making it the first television channel in Canada to have a website.

In the fall of 1996, that site expanded into EXN: we went from a staff of 2 to 10, and invested half a million dollars in advance server and video technology. Today, EXN receives hundreds of thousands of visits each month, and has a renewed focus on enhancing Discovery's daily science show, @discovery.ca, with extended video segments and original text stories.
