Sony DSC-P5
CNET Rating: 7 out of 10
The good: Easily navigable menu system; excellent control-button layout; extended video mode; long-lasting InfoLithium battery; very good image quality; underwater housing available. The bad: Slow shot-to-shot time and image playback; can't use accessory lenses; short 90-day warranty; meager 8MB Memory Stick included. The bottom line: This stylish, ultracompact Cyber Shot offers an excellent set of features for snapshot photographers and video-clip shooters, and it delivers quality pictures without a lot of fuss.
By Arthur H. Bleich(11/16/01) Sony's 3.2-megapixel Cyber Shot DSC-P5 packs a wallop into a stylish, ultracompact body. It's bound to garner compliments for both its good looks and its image quality, though more advanced photographers may find its picture-taking abilities limited by the absence of aperture and shutter controls.

grossy "Compact, but poor flash" Exceedingly limited flash distance ensures that virtually all indoor shots will be poorly exposed. I am surprised that nobody except Consumer Reports has commented on this since the flaw is so apparent. wolfpacq "The Coolest Camera on the Market" I love the compactness, the innovative technology features, the looks, and the feel on this camera.
