American children have raised more than $1.5 million for Afghan children. Included in the first shipment sent Dec. 10 were 1,500 winter tents, 1,685 winter jackets and 10,000 gift parcels, including hats, socks and school supplies, toothbrushes and hair brushes, candy and toys.
In Kabul, 180,000 families are being registered to receive food aid. Each family will receive a 50 kg bag of wheat, which is enough to feed one family for one month. This aid will benefit more than 1 million Afghans.
The coalition of countries and jurisdictions supporting the financial war against terrorism has grown to 196.
The United States has issued orders blocking the access of 150 known terrorists, terrorist organizations, and terrorist financial centers to the US financial system.
As of December 11, 140 other countries and jurisdictions have joined the United States in blocking terrorist accounts, and others have requested US assistance in upgrading their legal and regulatory structures so that they can also block effectively.
