President Bush Signs Legislation to Help Victims of Terrorism President Bush Wednesday signed the Victims of Terrorism Tax Relief Act -- bipartisan legislation that provides significant income and estate tax relief to the families of victims of terrorism.
President Bush: "First Priority is the Military"
President Bush Wednesday said, "Our first priority is the military. The highest calling to protect
the people is to strengthen our military. And that will be the
priority of the budget I submit to the United States
Congress."
President Calls on Congress to Pass Economic Security Package
President Bush Tuesday said, "It is time for a vote. It's time for people to set aside who's going to benefit on the nightly news, you know, whose picture is going to look the best. Let's get a vote up. Let's pass this bill. Let's quit talking about it, and let's get the bill going."
President Discusses Energy Plan, Economic Stimulus In West Virginia
"I asked Congress, once and for all, to pass a comprehensive energy plan," President Bush told citizens of Charleston, West Virginia Tuesday. "And it's about time Congress skips all the politics and focuses on what's right for the American people."
