Economic Security

In his 2002 State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush outlined his priorities: National Security, Homeland Security and Economic Security.

Economic Security means good jobs for Americans. Good jobs begin with quality schools. Good jobs also depend on reliable and affordable energy, expanded trade and sound tax policy. Good jobs must be the aim of welfare reform, and should lead to security in retirement.

These and other issues, such as home ownership, charities and faith-based programs and a cleaner environment, are all key components to ensure economic security.
