[2] AirPort Extreme Adoption
Apple announced that more than 150,000 AirPort Extreme wireless
networking products have been sold this past quarter, representing
nearly half of all 802.11 products the company shipped during the
quarter.

[3] New Releases: Safari Beta 2, Mac OS X Server 10.2.5
Safari Beta 2 is an updated beta version of the Safari browser that
delivers highly requested features, including tabbed browsing and
AutoFill forms.
Mac OS X Server Update 10.2.5 delivers enhanced functionality and
improved reliability for the following applications, services and
technologies: Software RAID, AFP, NetBoot, Network Install, Open
Directory Password Server, QuickTime Streaming Server and Workgroup
Manager.

[4] Sybase Hosts Webcast for PowerEasy ERP for Xserve
Sybase is hosting a live Webcast to demonstrate its PowerEasy ERP
application, the most scalable business application ever designed
for Mac OS X Server. This webcast will feature a demonstration of
the PowerEasy ERP packages by Raj Salvaraj, System Architect for
Effigent, Inc.; a discussion on Xserve and Xserve RAID by Tom
Goguen, Apple's Director of Worldwide Server Product Marketing; and
a discussion on business continuity by Steve Olson, Sybase Director
of Engineering. The webcast will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2003;

[5] Web Development Tool News: OmniWeb 4.2, WireFusion 3.2
OmniWeb 4.2 from The Omni Group is an update to this web browser
built exclusively for Mac OS X. OmniWeb 4.2 adds a number of
features intended to improve user experience and bring greater
compatibility with web servers and Internet plug-ins.
WireFusion 3.2 from Demicron is a web authoring tool for creation of
interactive web presentations. It handles realtime web3D, zoom,
slide show, streaming video and audio. WireFusion is now available
for Mac OS X.
[6] System Administration Tool News: eSuite4X - MySQL4 Edition,
Virtuoso 3.0, FE77 Server Suite 1.1, iAssist
eSuite4X - MySQL4 Edition from MACOSGURU combines the power of open
source products with a suite of database management applications to
bring you a Macintosh-like user experience. eSuite4X includes four
main applications: eSuite4X Setup Assistant, eSuite4X System
Preferences pane, Log & Config File Manager and SQL4X Manager J.
Virtuoso 3.0 from OpenLink Software is a cross platform Virtual
Database for SQL, XML, and Web Services. Version 3.0 enables
transparent and concurrent access in real-time to heterogeneous data
sources that include ODBC/JDBC/OLE DB/.NET-accessible databases, XML
documents, and data-set oriented Web Services.
FE77 Server Suite 1.1 from FE77 Software, LLC. enables users to
leverage existing Mac OS X hardware to provide enterprise class
application design, development and deployment. Version 1.1 includes
Apache 2.4.1, Cocoon 2.0.4, Tomcat 4.1.18, mod_webapp & mod_jk, PHP
4.3.1, PostreSQL and MySQL database support and Server Manager.app
1.0.2a - a desktop utility to manage the Server Suite components.
iAssist from Maxum Development is an Internet server management tool
for Mac OS X that improves network security. It also allows you to
remotely access, review, and modify Unix configuration files, as
well as accelerate Web access and filter inappropriate content.

[7] Windows Win32 API to Mac OS X Porting Guide Updated
Apple has updated the "Windows Win32 API-Mac OS X Porting
Guide" to help Windows developers porting their existing C or C++
Windows applications to Mac OS X. The guide introduces Windows
programmers to the Mac OS X procedural APIs for key areas such as
2D/3D graphics, user interface, text handling, networking, and
multiprocessing. It also directs readers to additional resources on
the ADC website, in third-party books, and elsewhere.
[8] Mac OS X Tool News: StuffIt 7.0.3, QuickUML Mac OS X, iTools
7.0
StuffIt 7.0.3 from Aladdin Systems, Inc. is an industry-standard
access and compression utility. Version 7.0.3 improves support
for Mac OS X's UNIX environment by adding the ability to browse Tape
Archives (.Tar), Bzip2, and Gzip. The update also provides support
for RAR 3.0, adds an improved "Expert Mode" dialog for compression
settings, and fixes a number of bugs.
QuickUML Mac OS X from Excel Software is an object-oriented design
tool focused on tight integration and ease-of-use for a core set of
UML models. Design work can be shared with the Linux and Windows
editions of QuickUML.
iTools 7.0 from Tenon Intersystems is a suite of Apache
configuration and management tools for Mac OS X 10.2.5. The new
version 7.0 includes Apache 2.0.45 and improved web-based and Aqua
desktop tools for secure remote, domain-specific administration for
Apache, DNS and multihoming FTP.
[9] Useful Utilities: VisualRoute 7.1, Action Helper 1.0.2,
Xupport 1.2.9, MailVoiceClip 1.0, ARTIS Screen Tools 2.5
VisualRoute 7.1 from Visualware Inc. is an integrated traceroute,
ping and whois utility that analyzes Internet connectivity and
identifies the geographical location of IP addresses on a world map.
Version 7.1 includes an updated geo-IP database.
Action Helper 1.0.2 from Steve Roy, Software Design is a free
utility that helps you manage folder actions as well as their
associated scripts on Mac OS X.
Xupport 1.2.9 by Laurent Muller is a system maintenance utility that
optimizes system performance, allows administrators to access hidden
system and Finder settings, clears junk files, and more. Version
1.2.9 includes new features, additional firewall examples and an
actualized network port list.
ARTIS Screen Tools 2.5 from Artis Software are a collection of four
shareweare design utilities: ARTIS Screen Ruler, Small Screen,
Screen Loups and Screen Guides. Version 2.5 introduces improvements
to ARTIS Screen Ruler and ARTIS Small Screen.

[10] Audio Tool News: Audio Hijack Pro 1.1, MailVoiceClip 1.0
Audio Hijack Pro 1.1 from Rogue Amoeba Software is an audio grabber
and enricher, enabling users to record and save any audio. Version
1.1 includes several new features, improvements and bug fixes.
MailVoiceClip 1.0 from Acrux Software is a Cocoa application that
sends voice-clips by e-mail. The recording can be played by both Mac
and PC users.
[9] Multimedia Tool News: Qpict 5.2.5, Typeset 1.6, OmniGraffle
3.0, eOrdering Gold 1.8, LightWorks 7.0
Qpict 5.2.5 from runelindman.com is a fully featured, easy-to-use
media asset manager for all kinds of multimedia files including
images, movies, fonts and sounds. Version 5.2.5 includes several new
features.
Typeset 1.6 from Vizspring Software is a full-featured font viewing
utility designed for viewing a collection of installed fonts when
searching for the perfect font for a particular project or logo.
Version 1.6 has several new features and improvements.
The Omni Group has released two major new versions of OmniGraffle, a
Mac OS X diagramming and drawing application. OmniGraffle 3.0 adds a
multitude of new features designed to help users create superior
charts and drawings, while OmniGraffle 3.0 Professional provides a
powerful toolset for advanced document manipulation and presentation
options.
eOrdering Gold 1.8 from LAJ Design is a cross-platform application
that creates online eCommerce stores for small businesses. Version
1.8 adds the ability to accept PayPal payments.
LightWorks 7.0 from LightWork Design is a rendering engine for 3D
design. Version 7.0 includes an Altivec-optimized update, giving
customers and end-users a performance increase of up to 1.5 times
for typical scenes containing soft shadows, ray tracing and
procedural shaders.
