QuickTime
6 Available
Apple Announces QuickTime 6. QuickTime 6 is now available
as a free download from Apple for both Mac and Windows. QuickTime
6 is the industry's first mainstream MPEG-4 solution for streaming
media to players. In addition, Apple announces the new QuickTime
Broadcaster, which captures and encodes QuickTime content in
MPEG-4 for live streaming over the web. |

QuickTime 6 SDK
for Macintosh
and Windows
platforms.
QuickTime 6.0 SDK contains a set of QuickTime headers
used when building QuickTime savvy applications. These headers
include definitions for the new APIs introduced in QuickTime
6.0. The QuickTime 6 Macintosh SDK containes Interfaces
for MacOS X 10.1.x. Interfaces and Libraries for MacOS 9 are
available as a part of Universal
Interface 3.4.2. MacOS X 10.2. comes with QuickTime 6
and the up-to-date Framework.
Windows developers can also use QuickTime within products
via the QuickTime 6 Windows SDK. These QuickTime Interfaces
and Libraries are required to build QuickTime savvy applications
or QuickTime components. Also included in the QuickTime 6
Windows SDK are the tools to generate QuickTime resources
for applications or QuickTime components.
