Operation Martial - Murder in Luton


At 3.10pm today Bedfordshire Police were called to 165 High Town Road, Luton, where they found a man suffering from severe chest injuries.

He was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he later died. Police are treating his death as murder.

Scenes of crimes officers are currently at the scene and a post mortem will be held later to establish the cause of death.

The senior investigating officer, Det Supt Andrew Richer, is appealing for anyone with knowledge of this incident, or was at the address today, to contact him.

He is particularly interested to identify four black men seen running from the premises at the time of the incident, or anybody who may have seen them in the vicinity of High Town, or anyone who has information about their identity.

As the inquiry continues and we obtain more specific details and descriptions of these individuals we will release them to the media, as will the identity of the deceased when we have notified next of kin.
