Rahul Gandhi wanted to know how to
tackle hurdles and implement schemes when a state is ruled by opposition
parties.
Sandeep Dikshit wanted to know the way to impose fiscal
discipline.
Jitin Prasad wanted to know about the Centre’s
discretion in special packages.
Sachin Pilot wanted to know details
about how a privilege motion is effected.
Milind Deora wanted to know
certain nuances of the functioning of a parliamentary
democracy.
Kuldeep Bishnoi wanted to know about how legislation is
framed.
That’s just a sampler of the questions posed by the
Fuchcha log
Brigade in
Parliament.
The three-day orientation workshop organised by the
Congress for its first-time MPs was also attended by old-timers. Jairam Ramesh,
for instance, asked about the cut motion.
While Sonia Gandhi
initiated and monitored the workshop and Rahul sat through all its three days,
UPA cabinet ministers —including Pranab Mukherjee, Ghulam Nabi Azad,
Renuka Choudhury, Prithviraj Chauhan and Jaipal Reddy — were
participants.
