Sandeep Dikshit wanted to know the way to impose fiscal discipline.

Jitin Prasad wanted to know about the Centre’s discretion in special packages.

Sachin Pilot wanted to know details about how a privilege motion is effected.

Milind Deora wanted to know certain nuances of the functioning of a parliamentary democracy.

Kuldeep Bishnoi wanted to know about how legislation is framed.

That’s just a sampler of the questions posed by the Fuchcha log Brigade in Parliament.

The three-day orientation workshop organised by the Congress for its first-time MPs was also attended by old-timers. Jairam Ramesh, for instance, asked about the cut motion.

While Sonia Gandhi initiated and monitored the workshop and Rahul sat through all its three days, UPA cabinet ministers —including Pranab Mukherjee, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Renuka Choudhury, Prithviraj Chauhan and Jaipal Reddy — were participants.
