Leander Paes sends Hyderabad Times an exclusive e-mail from Toronto and tells us why he has been quiet for so long over Mahima's allegations. Chaudhry, however, thinks it is a face saving exercise

LEANDER PAES:

"As with anything in life, especially sport, your psychological mind set plays a major role in achieving your goals. This has been the reason for my silence because my duty and honour lie in representing my country in the forthcoming Olympics to the best of my ability. My relationship with Mahima has been over for a long time now and it is sad that she chooses to demean not just herself and me but also all my friends who had nothing to do with it.

Both Mahima and I know the truth and that to me is what is important. Rest assured, nothing can shift my focus from achieving success for my country at the Olympics in Greece."
