Kahlil is a senior majoring in journalism, with a minor in Spanish, and is currently the Online Editor for The Digital Collegian.

Joining the Collegian in Fall 2000, he has worked as a Nation/world GA reporter, as well as a Research Beat reporter for the science and health staff of The Daily Collegian.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he first got interested in journalism during his time attending Brooklyn Technical High School. After school, he wrote for Youth on the Rise, a community newsletter where he progressed to student editor.

During his freshman year at Penn State, he was a sportswriter for the McKeesport Collegian and has since written for various campus publications.

By the end of his sophomore year at Penn State Mont Alto, Kahlil transferred to University Park and decided to try out for The Daily Collegian.

His experience in the field of communications includes interning for hip-hop magazines as well as SLAM, a basketball magazine. Recently, he has completed an internship with the New York based WB11 News at Ten.
