Jeff Rice is a senior majoring in journalism and the Collegian's sports chief. This is his seventh semester at the Collegian, where he spends far too much time.

Jeff has covered a number of other sports for the Collegian, including baseball, women’s basketball, women’s soccer and men’s and women’s rugby. He has also written stories for the metro staff. His weekly column appears Fridays.

This summer, Jeff held an internship at the Lancaster New Era, his hometown paper, where he wrote news and features. He also covers Penn State football for the Tribune-Democrat in Johnstown.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoys playing and watching sports, reading and writing. He also likes classic books, movies and music and “letting off steam” on the weekends with his friends. He aspires to be an editor someday.
