Bollywood is synonymous with making village life full of unexpected happenings. Right from the evil headman who makes life miserable for the lead stars to the village belle who manages to create a rippling effect with her dark kajal and colourful get-ups, its action all the way. But who from these fetching damsels make the best gaon ki gori ?

Says actress Arati Chabria, "I guess none of them can take the place of eternal beauty Madhubala as she was the classic Indian beauty and she looked breathtakingly beautiful as a gaon ki gori . As far as today's actresses are concerned, I think Rani Mukherjee perfectly fits in as the village belle. Remember her role in Nayak where she portrayed the village belle? She was so real that you couldn't believe she was the same Rani who had done Aati Kya Khandala . She has the typical Indian face and looks very charming in Indian outfits along with minis."
