The history of Maisonnette

The History of Maisonnette
Maisonnette is a small village on the Caraquet Bay. It was probably named after the French word meaning "little house", as such houses existed here during the French colonial period. From 1920-1936 the village was known as Ste. Jeanne d'Arc. The name Maisonnette was officially adopted in 1936.
