The world of PLEDs (polymer lightemitting diodes) is not a subject on the tip of everyone’s tongue although they are the new generation of display technology around us and replace liquid crystal displays and cathode-ray tubes – opening new possibilities, such as flexible or wearable displays. But researchers have already taken steps in the development of P-OLED (polymer organic light-emitting diode) technology, said to be the "next big thing”.
