The Laszlo Systems Application Development Process

Our application development process shown above consists of 6 phases, each of which is described below. For a more detailed description of how Laszlo Studios uses this process whenever they create a custom application for a client, please see the Laszlo Studios Methodology.

Evaluation: Complete a thorough analysis of candidate platforms or technologies that may be used to create your rich Internet application.

Application Requirements Analysis: Document specifically what the application will do, how it will be used, and how it will be packaged and shipped or hosted.

Creative & Technical Application Design: Develop a concrete plan for building your application, including creative design, such as user interface, and technical design, such as back-end interoperability requirements.

Programming & Implementation: Write the code. This phase is the actual construction or development of the application, including all necessary integrations.

Testing & Deployment: The final phase before roll-out of the application, in which you transfer the application to the production environment, test it, complete load testing, and optimize performance.

Production Support: Once the application is in production mode, i.e. it has been deployed and is live and you will support, maintain, and enhance it as needed.
