Technorati Developer Program
The Technorati Developer Program is right for you if you are a programmer, Web developer, or a Technorati power user. Our program includes some basics that we hope will help you in your development efforts.
Support
- developers@technorati.com is our new mail list. We'll use this for general communication, but it can also be a forum for answering each others technical questions.
- Based on our more technical, frequently asked questions we will build a FAQ on the Developer's Wiki as your first stop for technical support.
- Program members receive technical support through Technorati's standard Support. And in addition, your more technical inquiries will be handled directly by Technorati's own engineering team.
Gather
Technorati will host regular, and irregular, events. Events will be both non-technical to technical. You'll receive invitations to all of them, and you decide which ones are appropriate for you.
- Hackathons: We'll host Hackathons that are led by members of Technorati's engineering team. A few weeks before a Hackathon, we'll set up a wiki page to capture what we think are interesting development directions and we'll ask you to add what you think is interesting. And, if we have a business partner who has a project in need of a developer, we'll post that idea and hope to match up a developer with an idea. The actual Hackathon will be a chance for you to get 1:1 support from Technorati engineers, refine your application, and showcase it to the group.
- Salons: We'll hold regular salons where we get together and talk about timely topics. The salons will be less technical than the hackatons.
Communicate
It's important to us that we are available to you. To that end, there are a number of different ways you can communicate with us:
- The Developer's Wiki will be updated regularly.
- Developers@technorati.com will be used for updates.
- Everyone at Technorati has a personal blogs that they'll use to get information out and we'll create a developer specific blog as well.
Showcase
We will promote you whenever we can and we'll do it a few different ways:
- We'll include your application, plug-in, or content powered by Technorati on our Web site. And, if you're a Web developer, we'll include you in our consultants directory.
- Media referrals: when we get media calls, we'll refer them to you and/or we'll point them to your applications.
- Demonstrations: with your approval, we'll demo your applications when we're giving talks and presentations.
