Suite Deal

Mac OS X Tiger introduces new system-wide features that benefit from a .Mac membership. Publish your iCal calendars online, use Mail to send and receive email from .Mac aliases, then keep everything in sync over multiple Macs. A .Mac subscription keeps you connected to your information, to your friends and family, to everything you need, everywhere you go.

Sync Services Supplied

Tiger advances the state of the art by integrating intelligent, high-performance sync services right into the operating system. In Tiger, the preferences and controls for what, when and which devices you want to sync appear inside your favorite applications, such as Safari, iCal, Address Book and Mail — including multiple Mail accounts, Mail rules, signatures and Spotlight-driven Smart Mailboxes.

Mac iSync

Tailor and set syncing preferences within the application that needs to be synchronized, or go to the .Mac preference pane in System Preferences to manage all syncing centrally. From the .Mac preference panel, set Tiger syncing to take place transparently in the background, so it’s easier than ever to keep multiple Macs and your .Mac account synced and up to date.

You can also sync all of your data manually with a single button click. Use the Sync Now button just before you rush out the door and .Mac sync will make sure your other Macs stay current. You can even place the Sync Now button in the menu bar so it’s always there when you need it.

Tiger remembers what, when and how often to synchronize your data so you don’t have to. And synchronization takes place automatically and transparently in the background, keeping sync times short. This seamless syncing ensures your information is always current and available when you need it.

Many Macs at Once

.Mac sync lets you choose which Macs to sync, as well as the type of information you’d like to keep synchronized. Depending on your preference, Tiger syncs the latest information from each of your computers hourly, daily or weekly. If you opt to sync automatically, Tiger syncs hourly, then notifies your other Macs running Tiger to sync if there are any changes waiting for them. Use the new .Mac preference panel to see an overview of all sync-related activity, including the types of data you’re syncing and when your data was last synced.

Bookmarks

Home and Away

When you’re away from your Mac, use any Internet browser on any computer to access your synced Address Book contacts and Web bookmarks. Or send email through the .Mac webmail application: All the .Mac folders you use at home on Mail appear online at .Mac webmail.

Preferential Treatment

Tiger System Preferences offer you lots of settings options for your .Mac account in one handy location. Control what and when you want to sync to your .Mac account. View your .Mac account status information including renewal dates for paid and trial memberships.

Book ’Em

A .Mac membership lets you share Address Book contacts with ease. Publish your Address Book to .Mac and specify who can subscribe, read and edit it. Maintain one joint Address Book with your spouse or assistant. Changes made to any shared Address Book are reflected in the other, so you both have the most up-to-date information.
