ACOA is many things. Broad-based, flexible and forward-looking. It's a partner, a catalyst for change and growth, an advocate, a coordinator and a policy-maker. ACOA is community-based, a champion for the region and a significant contributor to Atlantic Canada's long-term economic prosperity.
Because of ACOA, there are more jobs and higher-paying jobs. There is higher productivity. More trade and foreign direct investment. More entrepreneurs, better skilled entrepreneurs, and more businesses surviving. There is more R & D, and more tourists spending more dollars.
ACOA is more than the sum of its parts. The evidence, based on independent economic analysis and models, is clear: ACOA works.
