UEL students celebrate success at graduation ceremonies: Thousands of University of East London (UEL) graduates are celebrating academic success with friends and family in ceremonies held at London’s Barbican Hall throughout November. Lord Rix, Chancellor of the University of East London, is personally awarding degrees, diplomas and certificates to more than three thousand UEL graduates.
He is also presenting honorary awards to Professor Ziauddin Sardar, Sly Bailey, Roland Muldoon, Rudolf G. Mueller, Baroness Catherine Ashton, Harvey MaGrath, Stephen O'Brien, Sid Smith, Sarwar Ahmed, Baroness Scotland, Chief Constable Michael Fuller, Rick Scannell, Lord Victor Adebowale, and Rita Sharma.
