  New Underground Resistance Website
Posted by: technochick on Thursday, November 17, 2005 - 07:36 AM MET (149 Reads)

UR This site is under construction. It will always be under construction. If that concept is too hard to grasp, you might want to leave now. As much as we may want definition, something solid and unchanging, that is not reality. Who we are right now is different from who we were yesterday, whether we like it or not. It’s the nature of the universe. Underground Resistance is no exception. It’s no secret that Underground Resistance has gone through a number of changes throughout the years, some coming from inside forces and others from outside forces, but sounds, rhythms, melodies and techniques change because, as human beings, we change and the music you’ve heard reflects that. The future will remain consistent in that there will be more change. This site, if we do our jobs, will be a reflection of that as well.

When I say “we” I’m not just talking about those of us in and around UR. You, the fan, the listener, the curious explorer, you all are important. You are the ones who not only support us as listeners but as allies (yes, the only reason Sony/BMG dropped Jaguar was because of you). You tell us your stories, welcome us into your cities, show us love, and you inspire us. And even when you disagree with us, we hear you. You are always part of the equation.

Those who came before us and those who will come after us are also important, but if you didn’t know that, then you’re new to a lot of things and we sincerely hope you catch up.

Posted by: JanPrimus on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 - 09:26 PM MET (159 Reads)

News Cratesaver Muzik: The Continuance of Detroit's Electronic Legacy. SCAN 7 and Posatronixhave joined forces tocreate Cratesavers Muzik. Together with a vision of preservation, they seek to keep the movement of the electronic music culture strong, true, and independent. Move into the future, realize the present & don’t forget about the history. How Cratesavers came to be: The idea behind Cratesavers Muzik is the preservation of vinyl records.

2004 Trackmasta Lou & Posatronix - longtime acquaintances decided to embark on Cratesavers Muzik as a group collaboration. It was in their best interest to pool their resources together to make the big push. With over 30 combined years of experience making records and working in the industry, they've witnessed first hand what works and what doesn't work. This experience is the reason they have decided to try their hand at the business end of the music.

Cratesavers Muzik embodies common sense and family values along with the preservation of the craft. The label is open to all types/genres of music submissions. Trackmasta Lou & Posatronix have their roots strongly planted in various types of electronic music. In order to be a part of the label, artists have to be able to perform live/analog to be a part of the label.
