Location
Masan City is located in the southern central of
Gyeongsangnam-do Masan bay, southeast of the Korean Peninsula.
The west is the west-end of Jinjeon-myeon Bongam-ri that is
128° 37′ degree of the east longitude, and the east is the east-end
of Bongam-dong, 27″of the east longitude.
The south is the south-end of Gusan-myeon Gubok-ri that is 35°
03′N, and the north is Naeseo-eub Anseong-ri, 35° 16′N. There
are domestic cities of Changwon, Busan, Jinju, and Gwangju which
has similar latitude as Masan, and foreign cities Tokyo, Kyoto
in Japan, Jeong Shien and Lui Yang in China, Kabul in Afghanistan,
Beirut in Lebanon, Tunis in Tunisia, Alger in Algeria, and Oklahoma
City and Memphis in USA. As for the longitude, Yokutsk in Siberia,
Harbin in Manchuria, Nagasaki in Japan, and Withlam in Australia.Meanwhile,
the time in Masan is 8 hours 37 minutes ahead of GMT, and about
24 later than Korean Standard Time (135°of east longitude as
standard).
