Al Jazeera International, the new 24-hour English-language news and current affairs channel, headquartered in Doha, will broadcast globally in the spring of 2006.  With broadcasting centres in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington DC, and supporting bureaux world-wide, the channel will provide both a regional voice and a global perspective to a potential world audience of over one billion English speakers.  We are currently looking for an experienced business affairs executive to be based in our London broadcasting centre.

Reporting to the Head of Business Affairs and Compliance based in Doha you will be responsible for a broad range of commercial contracts, dealing daily with our News and Programming teams and independent producers worldwide.

It is essential that you have at least three years experience of working within a television broadcast  or production business affairs environment and are competent in dealing with a wide range of  business affairs issues, including commissioning, distribution and rights.  Ideally you will also have an understanding of legal content issues and of the Ofcom broadcasting  code, .
