President Signs Bill to Strengthen Trade Between U.S. and Ukraine
President Bush on Thursday said, " The growth of economic freedom and ownership in countries like Ukraine reinforces the habits of liberty and democracy, and gives citizens a stake in the success of their nation. Ukranian people have shown the world they are committed to the ideals of economic freedom and democratic progress and open trade, and that gives them a promising future."

President Participates in Meeting on Comprehensive Immigration Reform
President Bush on Thursday said, "Our government must enforce our borders; we've got plans in place to do so. But part of enforcing our borders is to have a guest worker program that encourages people to register their presence so that we know who they are, and says to them, if you're doing a job an American won't do, you're welcome here for a period of time to do that job."

President Discusses War on Terror, Progress in Iraq in West Virginia
President Bush on Wednesday said, "A free Iraq is important for the United States of America. It was important to remove a threat; it was important to deal with threats before they fully materialized; but a free Iraq also does some other things. ... It will serve as an amazing example for people who are desperate for freedom."

President Bush on Tuesday said, "...We've got a strategy for victory, and we're making progress because the men and women of the United States military are showing magnificent courage and they're making important sacrifices that have brought Iraq to an historic moment -- the opportunity to build a democracy that reflects its country's diversity, that serves its people, and is an active partner in the fight against the terrorists."

Today, President Bush participated in a meeting on comprehensive immigration reform, a top priority for the Administration. The President will continue working with Congress to move forward on a strategy to enforce immigration laws, secure America, and uphold the Nation's deepest values. Click here to learn more.
