HME
HME is the code name for TiVo's powerful new open platform for applications that are displayed and controlled by broadband-connected TiVo Series2 DVRs. HME is currently in early-alpha release for developers. The SDK and more information can be found at tivohme.sourceforge.net.

TiVo Desktop
TiVo Desktop is a standalone PC application which acts as a publisher for Music and Photo files. This architecture can be adapted and integrated into other applications and services. These resources may be used to:
- Create custom Music and Photos applications compatible with TiVo Series2 DVRs
- Add TiVo Music and Photos publishing and serving functionality to your existing applications
- Interface TiVo Music and Photos with existing HTTP servers
- Create plug-ins for TiVo Desktop to add support for additional music, playlist and photos file formats
- Develop software to provide the functionality of TiVo Desktop on additional operating systems
