Annie Lennox Annie Lennox
Aberdeen's most famous daughter originally aimed to be a classically trained flautist until she was led astray by the sounds of Tamla Motown. Following a stormy professional (and, briefly, personal) relationship with Dave Stewart in the Tourists and Eurythmics, she released two platinum selling solo albums. She now lives in semi-retirement in New York.

ANNIE IN ONE MINUTE
  • She was born on Christmas Day
  • Her first job was in a frozen fish factory
  • Dave Stewart's first words to her were "will you marry me?"
  • She attended the Royal Academy Of Music but dropped out weeks before her finals
  • She was notorious for pioneering a gender-bending image for women - dressing as a businessman in the Eurythmics first video for "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)"
  • She has two daughters called Tali and Lola
  • Intensely private - she wears a variety of wigs in public to avoid being spotted by fans
  • All artwork and photography on her latest album, Bare, is by herself.
