The Chemistry Storeroom is located in WEL 1.202 and is operated by Fisher Scientific.

The purpose of this web site is to provide you with a tool for fast and efficient placement of your orders for laboratory chemicals and supplies.

If you are a registered user, you can log into the Research Storeroom with your Fisher user name and password and begin shopping for items carried in the Storeroom. The shopping cart system tells you if the item is in stock; and after you submit your order, by the time you walk down to the storeroom your order will be ready to pick up in most cases.

If you prefer, there is a computer available in the storeroom so you can log on there and place your orders.

Because the storeroom is operated by Fisher Scientific, you may also link to any of the Fisher on-line catalogs to order non-stocked items as well. The shopping cart system gives you the source warehouse and the estimated delivery time of non-stocked items. You will be notified by phone or e-mail when your order is ready for pick up at the storeroom. (Note that when shopping from general Fisher catalogs on this web site, items available in the UT Chemistry Storeroom will be indicated by a checkmark.)

For both stocked and non-stocked items, you will receive an immediate e-mail confirmation of your order with prices, quantities, and estimated delivery dates. When you pick up your order, you will also receive a receipt with the same information. Because the storeroom contract was awarded after formal competitive bidding, you no longer need PO paperwork or any further bidding to make purchases--even for major equipment items if you choose. Your orders will automatically be billed to the authorized UT account that you select.
