Food and drinks are not allowed in the Welch Computer Lab.

WelchLab is a general-use computer laboratory that contains 7 iMac computers and 66 PC workstations. All computers in WelchLab are connected to the campus network at a speed of 100Mbps.

The WelchLab facility is intended for use by Chemistry students, faculty, and staff during the day until 5:00PM. At that time it is opened to all University students, faculty, and staff.

Software available includes the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat reader, Mozilla Foundation's Firefox web browser, the American Chemical Society's SciFinder Scholar, Mathematica, NCBI's Cn3D structure viewer, the Multisim electronic circuit modeling program, and National Instruments' LabView.

There is an experimental free printing system for chemistry and biochemistry students.

A user of WelchLab may print black and white documents onsite through the use of an IF (individually funded) computer account available through ACITS.
