With about $2.25 million to raise toward renovation costs, the State Theatre announced Monday that RE/MAX Centre Realty is giving a sizable donation to cover the costs of the theater's box office.

President Bush announced this month his plans to boost the study of foreign languages in U.S. schools, but some university representatives say Penn State's foreign language requirements and programs are already making effective strides.

Despite an overall low crime rate, local officials say domestic violence is a problem in State College and have created three new positions in the borough to fight the issue.

Senior Bowl to feature four Penn State players

On most teams, the incoming freshmen will look to the seniors for advice, inspiration or leadership.

When the announcer read the results of the women's 20-pound weight throw competition at the Multi-Sport Facility at the Penn State Relays on Saturday, a collective gasp arose from the astonished crowd.

It might have been a sign when, with less than two minutes gone from the game clock, Iowa guard Jeff Horner pulled the trigger on a totally uncontested 3-point shot to give the Hawkeyes a very early 7-4 lead.

While many students on campus were tucked in their beds, members of the No. 11 Penn State men's volleyball team were up, gathering last minute items needed for a trip to Hawaii.
