Fresh Start 2006

NEWS

Don't believe everything you hear. Penn State is host to a number of urban legends that may have some students fooled.

Beer pong. Getting wasted. Canyon Pizza at 2 in the morning. Worshipping the porcelain goddess. Passing out. Hangovers.

From conventional traditions such as attending football games at Beaver Stadium to other traditions deemed otherwise unconventional, Penn State students have a number of ways to pass on Penn State pride.

To greek or not to greek, that is the question.

You're not in high school anymore.

Their shrieks and shouts flow through the streets of Beaver Canyon every fall. Then, by the end of January, they disappear as quickly as they came.

As a part of their new college experience, Penn State freshmen also have the opportunity for a spiritual growth.

From the Paintball Association to Glee Club and everything in between, Penn State hosts more than 700 clubs and organizations so that nobody feels left out.

What are you doing this weekend?

Dramatis Personae: Meet the biggest newsmakers at Penn State University

Many incoming Penn State freshmen come from areas where buses aren't a common sight. However, because the Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) buses are such an integral tool for the lazy Penn State pedestrian, it helps to know your CATA ins and outs.

Imagine not being able to sit or sleep for an entire weekend.
