Master of King René of Anjou [Master of the Cueur damour espris]
( fl Anjou and Provence, c. 1440/45c. 1470). Illuminator. He is named after his patron René I, King of Naples (reg 143842) and Duke of Anjou (reg 143480), for whom he produced his principal work, the Livre du cueur damour espris (Vienna, Österreich. Nbib., Cod. 2597).
