And the best way to do that is to reduce taxes on people. President's Radio Address In his weekly radio address President Bush said, "The terrorists are trying to divide America and break our will, and we must not allow them to succeed. So America will stand with the democratic government of Iraq. We will help Prime Minister Maliki build a free nation that can govern itself, sustain itself, and defend itself. I really do want to thank these kind-hearted souls who say to a senior that you no longer -- poor seniors, particularly -- you no longer have to choose between food and medicine, because there's a new way forward. Economic growth continues with 51,000 new jobs created in September. There have been over 6.6 million new jobs created since August of 2003, and the unemployment rate dropped to 4.6 percent. Learn more about the President's pro-growth policies.

On Monday, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden to the White House. The United States and Sweden share a long history of friendship and a strong commitment to democracy, human rights, and freedom. The visit was an opportunity to further strengthen the U.S.-Swedish friendship.
America's prosperity depends on reliable, affordable and secure sources of energy. President Bush believes the power of technology and the innovative spirit of America will reduce our reliance on foreign sources of energy, which will help ensure a growing and prosperous America in the 21st Century.
