Chamberlain wedded to 'Chuck and Larry'

Richard Chamberlain has joined the cast of Universal Pictures' "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," being directed by Dennis Dugan and starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James. In the movie about two straight, single firefighters pretending to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic-partner benefits, Chamberlain will play the head of the city council who presides over the duo's benefits hearing. Chamberlain is in Ireland shooting a starring role in "Strength and Honor," in which he will play a boxing trainer. He is repped by Eric Gardner at Panacea Entertainment.

Callum Keith Rennie and Kerry O'Malley are on the case, Paramount's "Case No. 39," opposite Renee Zellweger. In the supernatural thriller, Rennie will play the father of a demonic child, andO'Malley will play the girl's mother. A regular on Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica," Rennie will appear in the upcoming New Line Cinema comedy "Code Name: The Cleaner" with Cedric the Entertainer, Lucy Liu and Nicollette Sheridan. Rennie is repped by APA, Elizabeth Hodgson and attorney Robert Lange. O'Malley, who has appeared on Showtime's "Brotherhood," is repped by Evolution and Professional Artists.

Faune Chambers is putting on her dancing shoes for "Bob Bailey's Disco Ball." In the comedy, directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, Chambers will play a character who tells it like it is and is one of a group of people on a wild adventure. Chambers, best known for her role in "White Chicks," is repped by Nine Yards/Roklin Management.

Amy Rider has joined the cast of the indie ensemble feature "Universal Remote." She will play a slacker with bad credit. Rider, who recently wrapped the feature "Kissing Cousins" and appeared on CBS' "Without a Trace," is repped by Diverse Talent Group and A.D.S. Management.

Yuri Lowenthal has joined the cast of "Fistful of Blood," the first live-action feature being produced by Heavy Metal. Lowenthal is best known for his voice work in cartoons and anime. He is voicing Superman in "Legion of Superheroes" and "Afro Samurai." He also appeared on the CBS pilot "If You Lived Here, You'd be Home Now." He is repped by Special Artists Agency.

Seymour Cassel ("Rushmore"), J.K. Simmons ("Spider-Man") and Verne Troyer (the "Austin Powers" movies) are going "Postal" for director Uwe Boll. "Postal" is an adaptation of the video game from Running With Scissors in which shooters target everyday people.

Kel Mitchell will appear opposite Danny Glover in John Sayles' "Honeydripper." The movie, set in 1950s Alabama, follows the goings-on of the Honeydripper juke joint, where the hiring of a young electric guitarist is seen as a last-ditch effort to draw crowds during harvest time. Mitchell is best known for the Nickelodeon hit series "Kenan and Kel" and the features "Good Burger" and "Mystery Men." He is repped by the Agency Group and Creative TMG.

Vidal gains "Girlfriends"

Christina Vidal has come on board the CW's comedy "Girlfriends" as a recurring, playing a tough celebrity fitness trainer. Vidal's credits include the features "See No Evil" and "Freaky Friday" and the series "10-8: Officers on Duty." She is repped by Paradigm and Bob McGowan at McGowan Management.

Nicole Bilderback has landed recurring roles on NBC's new drama series "Heroes" and on the CW's midseason drama series "Hidden Palms." On "Heroes, she will play Sakamoto, who is plucked from Harvard University to run a wealthy businessman's casino. On "Palms," she plays Blair Meadows, the mayor's bitchy second wife. Bilderback, who next appears in the indie "Sex and Death 101," is repped by Mark Rousso at New Wave Entertainment.

Sandrine Holt has landed a recurring role on the CW's upcoming drama series "Runaway," playing a woman whose murder is at the core of the show's seasonlong mystery. Holt, who was a recurring on Fox's "24," also will appear in six episodes of the upcoming season of Showtime's "The L Word." She is repped by Todd Eisner at APA and Don Spradlin at Essential Talent Management.

Laivan Green has been added to the cast of the CW's comedy series "All of Us" as a regular. Green will play Courtney, the product of a relationship between Dirk (Tony Rock) and his college sweetheart. Green, who recently wrapped a starring role in Disney Channel's original movie "Jump," is repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group, Landis-Simon Prods. and Talent Management.

Ernest Waddell has been tapped for a recurring role on the CW's teen soap "One Tree Hill." He will do a five-episode arc in a closely guarded story line that will wreak havoc in the life of one of the main characters. Waddell, who co-starred on WB Network's drama "The Bedford Diaries," is repped by Paradigm and manager McGowan.

Lauren London has landed a multiepisode arc on HBO's comedy series "Entourage," playing a love interest for Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). London, who recently starred in the feature "ATL," is repped by WMA.

Jessica Lowndes has joined Justine Bateman, Derek Hamilton and Sebastian Spence in "To Have and to Hold," a telefilm for Lifetime about the ramifications of a married man's affair with a younger, unstable vixen. Lowndes, who appeared in an episode of Showtime's anthology series "Masters of Horror," is managed by Industry Entertainment.

Eriq La Salle has been tapped to guest star in the 100th episode of CBS' drama "Without a Trace." He also will direct an episode of the crime drama's upcoming fifth season. La Salle, best known for his co-starring role on NBC's "ER," is repped by Paradigm.

Muxworthy, Garcia committed to 'Asylum'

Jake Muxworthy and Carolina Garcia are taking a trip to "Asylum," the horror movie being directed by David Ellis for Hyde Park. The story revolves around a group of college students who move into a reopened dormitory only to learn that it is a former asylum and is haunted by its undead sadistic doctor. Shooting begins Sept. 18 in South Carolina. Muxworthy next stars in Lionsgate's "Borderland" and "Waterborne," which won this year's audience award at South by Southwest Film Festival and best ensemble cast at this year's Method Film Festival. Garcia appeared on the premiere episode of Fox's "Justice." Muxworthy and Garcia are repped by Mosaic. Muxworthy additionally is repped by attorney Karl Austen; Garcia by Domain.

Tyler Kain has joined the cast of the indie feature "Forever Strong," being helmed by Ryan Little. Kain will play Tami, the hard-partying girlfriend of Rick (Sean Faris). Kain, who has appeared on TV's "Joan of Arcadia," "My Name Is Earl" and "CSI: Miami," is repped by Stone Manners and Martin Berneman Management.

Tom Sizemore will star in "Bottom Feeder" for Archetype Films and director Randy Daudlin. "Bottom Feeder" is an action-thriller about a giant, indestructible rat mistakenly created by the military that terrorizes a maintenance worker and his niece. Production is under way. Sizemore is repped by Innovative.

Tim Guinee has joined the cast of "AmericanEast," being directed by Hesham Issawi. Guinee will play a surgeon who becomes romantically involved with an Eyptian-American nurse who works at his hospital. The cast also includes Tony Shalhoub and Amanda Detmer. Guinee next appears in "Sweetland," which hits theaters next month, "Broken English," directed by Zoe Cassavetes, and the short film "The Shovel" opposite David Strathairn. Brian Drolet (MTV's "The Hills") is set to appear in "Burial at Sea," an indie teen horror movie being directed by Joe Knee. Drolet will play a pro skateboarder who unknowingly hires the cursed captain of a possessed yacht for an expedition to shoot the ultimate skateboard video. Drolet is repped by Metropolitan and Cole Payne Management.

Newcomer Brittany Robertson has joined the cast of Touchstone Pictures' "Dan in Real Life" with Steve Carell, being directed by Peter Hedges. Carell will play a widower with three daughters who writes a parenting column for his local newspaper. Robertson will play Carell's 15-year-old daughter with a rebellious streak. Before shooting "Dan," Robertson will shoot the indie family comedy "Frank" for Brightline Films and Cabiria Prods. She is repped by Innovative, Anthem Entertainment and Jackoway Tyerman.

Vidal set for multiepisode arc on CBS' new drama "Smith"

Lisa Vidal is set to do a multiepisode arc on CBS' new drama "Smith," playing a hard-nosed FBI agent. This past development season, Vidal and her sisters, actresses Christina and Tanya Vidal, were attached to star in an ABC comedy project based on their life. Vidal, whose series credits include "The Division," "Third Watch" and "ER," recently won an Imagen Award for her role in the Lifetime movie "Odd Girl Out." Tom Sizemore has been tapped to star in the BBC miniseries "Superstorm," about a group of scientists who develop a way to change the weather. Production is under way in Montreal. Sizemore, who next appears in the indie "The Genius Club," is repped by Innovative Artists.

"7th Heaven" co-star David Gallagher has landed two episodes on CBS' drama "Numbers," playing a teenager being led down a dangerous path. Gallagher, who next appears in the features "The Quiet" and "The Picture of Dorian Gray," in which he plays the title role, is repped by Innovative Artists and Loch Powell at Leverage Management.

"The Shield" co-star Kenneth Johnson has been tapped for a multiepisode arc on CBS' drama "Cold Case," reprising his role as Joseph, Lilly Rush's (Kathryn Morris) love interest, which Johnson originated in the series' third-season finale. Johnson, who most recently appeared in Hallmark Channel's movie "Desolation Canyon," is repped by the Kohner Agency and manager Danielle Allman-Del.

Antonio Cupo has been cast opposite Paget Brewster in the Lifetime movie "The Secret." Cupo, who recently wrapped the Italian series "Elisa di Rivombosa," is managed by Steven Jensen at Independent Group.

Joan Severance has joined the cast of MyNetworkTV's soap opera "Art of Betrayal." Severance, whose series credits include "The Love Boat: The Next Wave," also is managed by Jensen. Also cast in "Act of Betrayal" is Kate French, who will play Brooke Crawford. She is repped by the Jet Set Agency.

Nora Zehetner has signed to do an arc on NBC's new drama "Heroes," playing a hip, Bohemian struggling actress in New York. Zehetner, who most recently appeared in the indie "Brick," is on the big screen in "Conversations With Other Women." Zehetner, who recurred on WB Network's "Everwood," is repped by the Gersh Agency and manager Paul Nelson of Mosaic Media Group.

Tamara Taylor has landed a six-episode arc on Fox's drama "Bones," playing coroner Dr. Camilla Saroyan. Taylor, whose feature credits include "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and "Serenity," is repped by Innovative Artists and managers Dianne Fraser and Ira Liss at Industry Entertainment.

Zane to star in "The Mad"

Billy Zane ("Titanic") will star in "The Mad" for Peace Arch Entertainment's Archetype Films division and director John Kalangis. "Mad" is a horror-thriller in which a doctor and his teenage daughter are terrorized by flesh-eating zombies at a truck stop. Production is scheduled to begin this month in Canada. Zane is repped by Paradigm.

Jordan Ladd is feeling "Death Proof" for Quentin Tarantino and Dimension Films. She is appearing in Tarantino's half of "Grindhouse" as a Texan hippy who is one of three girls stalked by a murderous stuntman. Ladd's recent credits include the comedies "Waiting" and "Club Dread." She also starred in Eli Roth's "Cabin Fever." She is repped by Innovative and Levine/Wilkins Management.

John Farley has booked a supporting role in Screen Gems' "Wieners" opposite Kenan Thompson and Darrell Hammond. He just completed two independent features, "Strange Wilderness" opposite Steve Zahn and "Parental Guidance Suggested" opposite Frankie Muniz. He most recently appeared in Sony's "The Benchwarmers." Farley is repped by Martin Berneman Management.

Rachel Specter has booked the lead in the indie "Midnight Sun," being directed by Mark Grove. The story takes place during a weekend at an isolated mountain retreat where the characters are under siege by a group of vampires. Specter's credits include the indie "My Sexiest Year" opposite Muniz, and TV's "Entourage," "What I Like About You" and "Drake and Josh." She is repped by KSA and the Collective.

Lisa Pepper has joined the cast of the Anthony Hopkins-directed feature "Slipstream." Pepper will play the lead of "Tracy" opposite Hopkins and Stella Arroyave. Pepper is repped by Metropolitan and McGowan Management.

Richard Tillman has booked a role in "How I Met My New Boyfriend's Dead Fiancee" opposite Eva Longoria and Lake Bell. He will play a gym employee who has to deal with a barely clad Bell. Tillman will be seen in Paramount's "Broken Bridges" in which he plays Toby Keith's younger brother. Tillman is repped by Osbrink and Michelle Jannone.

Luke Grimes and Misti Traya are soaring to "War Eagle." The indie is being directed by Robert Milazzo. Grimes will play Enoch, a gifted baseball player who is struggling with the decision of whether he wants follow the path to stardom or continue with his small-town life. Traya will play his love interest. Grimes, repped by IFA and 1 Management, next will be seen in "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane." Traya appears in TV's "Living With Fran" and will be seen in an upcoming episode of "Nip/Tuck." She is repped by Abrams Artists and 1 Management.

Jonathan Sadowski ("She's the Man") is having a "Spring Breakdown" for writer-director Ryan Shiraki. In the Warner Bros. Pictures release, he will play a college-age ladies man who is trying to change his ways and becomes the love interest of Amber Tamblyn's character. Sadowski most recently shot a series regular role for the CBS pilot "My Ex-Life" and has a script in development at Columbia.
