Researchers at Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) have achieved more than six gigabits per second over a point to point wireless connection with an efficiency of 2.4bits/s/Hz. They claim this is the highest speed and efficiency ever achieved for such a system.
