Software for Structural Engineering

The Centre continues to enhance its suite of user-friendly structural computer programs. The following programs are currently available:

PRFSA: 1st and 2nd order elastic analysis, in-plane buckling analysis, 1st order plastic analysis, dynamic analysis and truss analysis of plane rigid frames. More on PRFSA.

PRFELB: Finite element flexural-torsional buckling analysis of plane frames and design of beams to AS 4100, design of purlins to AS/NZS 4600. More on PRFELB.

THIN-WALL: Cross-section analysis and finite strip buckling analysis and direct strength design of thin-walled structures. More on THIN-WALL.

ColdSteel/4600: Semi-automated design of cold-formed steel structural members to AS/NZS 4600. More on ColdSteel/4600

PURLIN4600: Purlin capacity tables according to AS/NZS 4600. More on Purlin4600.

PURLIN: Analysis and design of cold-formed purlins according to AS/NZS 4600. More on Purlin

SupaPurlin: Analysis and design of Supa purlins according to AS/NZS 4600. More on SupaPurlin

LIMSTEEL: LIMSTEEL Standalone is a user-friendly program for the limit states design of steel members and connectors according to AS 4100-1998, NZS 3404-1997, and of Duragal members according to AS/NZS 4600-1996. The program can also proportion plate web and box girders and their stiffeners.

LIMSTEEL LITE is a reduced student version of LIMSTEEL Standalone available free of charge. LIMSTEEL LITE is included in the LIMSTEEL Standalone setup package.
