The following are some of our recent academic visitors to the school.


Alvaro Ramirez from Spain	Working with the structures group.
Professor Bin Teng: Visiting Scholar for one month He is a Chung-Kong Scholar Professor at Dalian University of technology.	His research areas are coastal hydrodynamics, fluid-structure interaction for floating structures.
Dr Bing Yang: Postdoctoral Research Associate for one year He is an assistant researcher at Institute of mechanics, Chinese Academy of Science.	He completed his PhD in September 2006. His research area is Fluid-soil-structure interaction for pipelines.
Miss Yam Lu: Research assistant for 3 months	She is working on software development.
Professor Feng Fan from the Harbin Institute of Technology (China) visiting in 2007.	Working with the structures group.
Professor Brian Seymour from the Department of Mathematics, University of British Columbia (Canada) visiting in November and December 2005.	Working with Dr Dong-Sheng Jeng - partner investgator on ARC research project.
Professor Siva Sivakumaran from McMaster University (Canada) visiting March - July 2005.	Working with the structures group.
