Apple Reports First Quarter Results
Apple announced first quarter financial results, with revenue of $7.1 billion and a net profit of $1.0 billion, or $1.14 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $5.7 billion and a net profit of $565 million, or $.65 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 31.2%, up from 27.2% a year ago.
