About YPSD Director Iyad Alnachef is finishing his Master degree in Youth Development from Michigan State University, to graduate in December 2006. Between January 1999 and September 2005, Iyad worked as an Islamic Studies/Arabic Teacher, youth leader, and youth program director in several Islamic Centers in Michigan and Ohio. During that period, he organized about 14 summer and winter camps in Michigan and Pennsylvania. For the period between October 2005 and August 2006, he worked with the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America as a District Executive for Powhatan District that serves about 3000 youth through the volunteerism of about 1300 volunteers. On July 31st, 2006, Iyad moved to Plainfield, Indiana to work as the Director of the Youth Programming and Services Department at ISNA. Iyad is a father of Zayd and a new born Layla.
