• Inspec Matters List (List Name: insp-matters) This list is the electronic equivalent of the quarterly newsletter Inspec Matters. It contains all the text of all the articles that appear in Inspec Matters and a few additional items that do not appear in the printed version.

• New Publications (List Name: insp-new-pubs)

  This list contains only announcements of new publications: books, conference proceedings, journals and distance learning courses. It is intended for Acquisition Librarians, Booksellers and anyone simply wanting to keep up to date with what the Institution of Engineering and Technology is publishing.

• Press Releases (List Name: insp-press)

  This list contains only Press Releases and other News Announcements relating to the activities of the Institution of Engineering and Technology's Publishing and Information Services, including Inspec.

• All of the Above (List Name: insp-all)

  This list allows you to subscribe to all of the lists including this one as a single list. There may be some overlap between the above lists and this list will allow you to receive everything without duplication.

• Wiring Regulations (Listname: wiring_regs)

  This list helps you keep up to date with changes, updates and new publications related to wiring issues.

To subscribe to one of these lists, you should send an e-mail to majordomo@theiet.org containing the following as the body of the message:

subscribe list-name

e.g. subscribe insp-matters to subscribe to the Inspec Matters list.

Several subscribe commands may be included in one message; place each command on a new line. If you have a signature file, please either precede it with an "END" command on a separate line, or else do not append the signature; otherwise, whilst the signature will not prevent your subscribe command from succeeding, you will receive an error message because the list server will attempt to interpret it.

Please note that subscribing to these lists makes your e-mail address available to other subscribers. The Institution of Engineering and Technology is unable to offer anonymity to subscribers to these lists. None of these lists have list server archives as the Institution's Web pages perform this function. Currently, we have no plans for any discussion lists, but we will consider these if there is sufficient demand.
