FRANCIE CALFO

Executive Vice President, Development & Current Programs, ABC Entertainment

Francie Calfo was named executive vice president, Development & Current, ABC Entertainment, in August 2005. In this position Ms. Calfo works closely with the Comedy and Drama Development teams and the Current department, overseeing all scripted series development and current programming for the network's Entertainment division. She joined ABC as executive vice president, Development, in June 2004.

Prior to joining ABC, Ms. Calfo served as an independent producer with a multi-year production deal through Touchstone Television. In her first year out, she produced two drama pilots, "The Service" and "life as we know it" - the latter of which was picked up by ABC.

Prior to this Ms. Calfo served as an executive in Drama Development for Touchstone Television, first as a vice president, from 1999, and then as senior vice president, Drama Series, from December 2002. In these positions she oversaw all drama development and current drama programming for the studio, including "C.S.I." and the critical hit "Alias."

Before that, Ms. Calfo had been vice president, Creative Affairs for Touchstone, overseeing all current programming, including "Home Improvement," "Boy Meets World," "Felicity," "Sports Night" and "The PJs." She first joined the Walt Disney Company in the Television Research department, where she rose through the ranks to vice president of Research for Buena Vista Television -- overseeing Network Television and Television Animation.

Ms. Calfo graduated from Loyola Marymount University with degrees in both Communications and Business Affairs.

Married and the mother of three, Ms. Calfo currently resides with her family in Santa Monica, California.
