ABBIE SCHILLER

Abbie Schiller was named vice president, Media Relations, ABC Daytime in December 2005. Ms. Schiller reports to Nicole Nichols, senior vice president, Entertainment Communications, Disney-ABC Television Group.

In her position, Ms. Schiller oversees all strategic PR efforts for ABC Daytime, including corporate, programming and marketing driven publicity. She manages the publicity for a daytime television lineup that includes “All My Children,” “One Life to Live,” “General Hospital” and the award winning talk show “The View,” a recipient of eighteen Daytime Emmy Awards.

Ms. Schiller joined ABC Daytime from New York-based Kiehl’s, a subsidiary of L’Oreal, where she served as vice president, Public Relations. She worked with the company’s global management team across the U.S. and in 10 countries worldwide to execute strategic public and industry relations for product launches and placement, celebrity relations, store openings, events, charitable works, sponsorships and hotels. Ms. Schiller also served as the primary corporate spokesperson responsible for communicating company objectives and accomplishments.

Prior to joining Kiehl’s, Ms. Schiller worked at Nike Communications, Inc., where she was vice president, Public Relations. Her responsibilities encompassed the conception and development of campaigns to reposition brands and reignite consumer interest. Additionally, Ms. Schiller worked as a food stylist for Martha Stewart Living Magazine and served on Vice President Al Gore’s communications team, assigned to work with Tipper Gore on her publicity needs.

Ms. Schiller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Wheaton College and a certificate in Cuisine & Pastry, Le Cordon Bleu. She is married and has one daughter.
