Attorney General Ernie Preate and state treasurer candidate Lowman Henry did not attend the Centre County Republicans' "pot luck" dinner last night as planned.

The Richard King Mellon Foundation has donated $1 million to the Paterno Libraries Endowment, enabling library administrators to purchase more materials.

Students who live on the 10th floors of Sproul and Brumbaugh halls have a common bond -- they don't drink, use drugs or smoke tobacco products.

Penn State's research funds increased this fiscal year, despite decreases or stabilization at many other universities.

University employees who are not state residents do not have to send paychecks home or cash them immediately anymore. The University Payroll Office can now directly deposit paychecks nationally.

It may be the most unheralded position, that of the offensive lineman. But it is here, in the trenches, where the toiling task of protecting the territory occurs. It is where games are won and lost.

The 1992 Summer Olympics are now over and it is time for the sports world to return to normal.
