Just when the Penn State women's volleyball team seemed to be turning its season around, it got a glimpse of how far it still has to go to have a chance at defending its national championship from last year.

The Penn State women's soccer team won their sixth and seventh straight one-goal games to win the Big Ten tournament and automatically qualify for the NCAA tournament.

After defeating No. 7-seeded Indiana 8-0 Friday and No. 3 Iowa 3-1 Saturday to make it to the title round, No. 1 Michigan knocked off Penn State 3-2, ending the team's hopes of a Big Ten title.

Lady Icers forward Andrea Lavelle said one thing about her season debut Saturday. But the scoring summary tells a whole different story.

First it was the offense. Then it was the defense. Now the Penn State men's ice hockey team is finding other ways to win games.

The results of the Penn State's wrestling team's Wrestle-offs yesterday were hardly surprising, but the day's events definitely didn't go off without a hitch, especially for 141-pound redshirt freshman Maret Tomaev.

The men's soccer team dropped its final match of the regular season to Hartwick 3-1 and now has to rebound and prepare for the Big Ten Tournament that begins Nov. 9.

The boys in 'NSYNC could have sent the marionettes adorning the cover of No Strings Attached in their place last night and kept everyone happy, considering the enthusiasm of their sell-out crowd at The Bryce Jordan Center.

Hoards of girls gathered in hopes of seeing the elusive 'NSYNC yesterday outside the Atherton Hotel.
