It was a squeaker. A nail-biter. A photo finish. Anybody's ballgame.

Republican incumbents Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre and Mifflin) and Lynn Herman (R-Centre) kept their seats in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives last night, beating out Libertarian and Democratic challengers by a wide margin.

In a landslide decision, Republican incumbent John Peterson defeated Green Party candidate William Belitskus and Libertarian Tom Martin in yesterday's race for the 5th Congressional District House seat.

Students and Centre Country residents held signs and chanted in protest of the death penalty yesterday afternoon.

The State College Design Review Board moved construction plans for a Hooters Restaurant on East College Avenue one step closer yesterday.
